Number of incidents caused by violation of safety requirements for the safe use of natural gas in everyday life has decreased

January 15, 2024 15:35During the meeting with the participation of the Directors of the Gasification and Gas Supply Branches (GGB), the preliminary results of production and operation activities, as well as issues related to expenses and financial discipline in 2023 were discussed.

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia Ashot Hakobyan noted that the level of collection of payments for natural gas supplied to consumers is generally at a high level.

«We have a really high rate of payment collection for the consumed gas. Exceptionally positive results — over 100% was recorded in terms of payments for technical maintenance of in-house gas consumption systems. It is very important to maintain this level in the future,» Ashot Hakobyan emphasized.

As for the statistics of cases caused by the violation of safety requirements for using natural gas in households, it was noted that last year the number of such cases has decreased compared to 2022, which is the result of the joint work of AEG Service LLC and Gasification and Gas Supply Branches.

«As a result of consistent and systematic work, there is certainly a downward trend. However, when it comes to human life, even a single incident should be considered unacceptable to us. It is necessary to continue comprehensive preventive measures in this direction. I hope that, despite the human factor, there will be even fewer such cases,» said the Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia.

Following the meeting, a number of instructions were given to the Directors of the GGB.
