A.Hakobyan: A large amount of work planned to carry out this year in the gas transportation and gas distribution systems

January 12, 2024 17:00Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia Ashot Hakobyan held an extended meeting with participation of Deputy General Directors and Heads of structural subdivisions.

During the meeting, the preliminary results of the 2023 production and economic activity of the Company were reviewed and issues related to the programs and activities planned for the current year were discussed.

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia noted that according to operational data, significant results were achieved in all areas of the Company's activities last year.

«Compared to 2022, last year we have managed to achieve more significant indicators, and this is the result of our common and coordinated work,» Ashot Hakobyan emphasized.

It was noted that the investment program of the Company for 2024–2028, approved by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, makes about 149 billion AMD.

Within the framework of the General Scheme of Gas Supply and Gasification of the Republic of Armenia, a large volume of work is planned to carry out at the facilities of the gas transmission and gas distribution systems in the current year.

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of Gazprom Armenia pointed out the need for a gradual transition to the digital technologies in production processes.

«Digital transformation is a priority for us. In particular, certain steps have already been taken to introduce an operational dispatch control system. In the future it is necessary to further expand the use of digital technologies in other areas of our activity as well,» Ashot Hakobyan emphasized.

At the meeting, the personnel policy of the Company was also discussed. Ashot Hakobyan noted that the formation of the personnel reserve, especially in terms of replenishing the engineering and technical staff with professional specialists is essential for the Company. One of the most important components of effective work in that direction is the intensification of cooperation with relevant specialized universities and educational institutions.

In the context of the social policy of Gazprom Armenia, it was noted that last year the Company implemented a large-scale program to support compatriots displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Within the framework of this program, the issues of employment of a number of specialists from Artsakhgaz Company, who are currently working at CJSC Gazprom Armenia, have also been resolved.
