Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of Gazprom Armenia Ashot Hakobyan held a retreat meeting at Gavar and Martuni Gasification and Gas Supply Branches

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia Ashot Hakobyan held retreat meetings at Gavar and Martuni Gasification and Gas Supply Branches (GGB) with participation of Deputy General Directors, Heads of a number of structural subdivisions, Directors of the Engineering Center Branch and AEG Service LLC.

The Chief Engineer of the Gavar GGB S. Gareyan presented the main indicators of the production activity of the Branch. At present, the Gavar GGB serves about 309 km of underground and above ground gas pipelines of the gas distribution network and 165 gas regulation points.

Within the framework of the Major Repair Plan of Gazprom Armenia in 2021–2023 the Gasification and Gas Supply Branch carried out re-installation of emergency gas pipelines with 15 km total length and replaced 16 cabinet-type gas regulation points, the service life of which exceeded 20 years.

It was also noted that, in accordance with the approved schedule, the specialists of the Gavar GGB carry out instrumental diagnostics of the technical condition of underground gas pipelines.

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia emphasized the importance of timely identification and elimination of technical problems at gas distribution system facilities.

«Diagnostics of underground gas pipelines are of great importance in terms of ensuring reliable and uninterrupted gas supply to customers. In this regard, it is also necessary to carry out an unscheduled inspection, to promptly eliminate the detected defects, to carry out the replacement of emergency sections. I hereby instruct the Engineering Center Branch and the relevant structural subdivisions to organize this work together with our colleagues from GGB,” noted Ashot Hakobyan

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia also instructed to monitor the issues of ensuring the necessary gas supply regimes, carry out the necessary preparatory work and measures to regulate the peak inequalities of the upcoming autumn-winter period.

At the meeting in Martuni GG Branch, it was noted that the total length of the distribution network gas pipelines maintained by the Branch was about 1165 km and the number of gas regulating points was 367 units. During 2021–23 period, the Branch carried out re-installation of emergency gas pipelines with 39.7 km total length and replaced 17 cabinet-type gas regulation points, the service life of which exceeded 20 years.

Special attention was paid to violations of safety requirements for using natural gas in everyday life, safety of gas consumption systems, issues related to their compliance with approved projects.

Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia emphasized that it is necessary to continue comprehensive preventive measures and carry out consistent work to eliminate violations in gas consumption systems of consumers.

«Reduction of violations is one of the priority tasks of our activity. The joint work of Gasification and Gas Supply Branches and AEG Service LLC gives its results. I hope that the statistics of cases caused by the violation of security requirements will decrease, despite the human factor,» Ashot Hakobyan said.

Summing up the results of the meetings, Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia gave a positive assessment of the activities of the Gavar and Martuni GG Branches, instructed the relevant structural subdivisions of the Company to consider all actual issues related to the activities of the GG Branches raised during the meetings and to find ways of their optimal and operative solution.
