On July 19 2020, the decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia on tariffs for natural gas supplied to consumers by CJSC Gazprom Armenia came into force.
The tariffs for natural gas sold to residential sector (population) by CJSC Gazprom Armenia have remained unchanged and the new tariffs for natural gas will be applied to a certain part of consumers.
According to the decision of the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission the following tariffs for natural gas have been set:
1. According to the decision № 1122 —N of the Government of the Republic of Armenia as of November 3, 2016 — the annual natural gas tariff for socially disadvantaged families will make:
a) 100 thousand AMD for 1000 m3 for the volume up to 600 m3 /year (including VAT) ;
b) 139 thousand AMD for 1000 m3 for the volume over 600 m3 /year (including VAT).
2) for greenhouses carrying out their activity in the field of agriculture:
a) for the period from November 1 to March 31 inclusive, the monthly gas tariff for every 1000 m3 gas will make an amount equivalent to 224USD in AMD (including VAT);
b) for the period from April 1 to October 31 inclusive, the monthly gas tariff for every 1000 m3 gas will make 139,000 AMD for the volume of up to 10 thousand m3 gas and for gas consumption of over 10 thousand m3 gas per month, the tariff for every 1000 m3 gas will make an amount equivalent to 255.91 USD in AMD (including VAT).
3 for processing enterprises, carrying out their activity in the field of agriculture (canned food, beverages, dairy products) the gas tariff for every 1000 m3 gas will make an amount equivalent to 224 USD in AMD (including VAT);
4. for the rest of consumers (including for thermal power plants) not included in the above-mentioned items 1–3, which use up to 10 thousand m3 per month, the tariff will make 139 thousand AMD per 1000 m3 (including VAT) and for consumers using over 10 thousand m3 per month — for every 1000 m3 gas the tariff will make an amount equivalent to 255.91 USD in AMD (including VAT).
The natural gas tariffs for persons licensed to produce electricity at thermal power plants will come into force on August 1, 2020.
