About 1,153.9 million cubic meters of natural gas imported into Armenia in the first half of 2020
In January-June 2020, the volumes of natural gas imported into Armenia were increased by 9.3% as compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to 1,153.9 million cubic meters against 1,056.1 million cubic meters in the previous year.
During the mentioned period 1,079.1 million cubic meters of natural gas was sold against 1,002.2 million cubic meters in 2019.
In the first half of this year, the natural gas consumption was increased by 79.7% in the energy sector and by 33.1% in the industrial sector, making 183 and 110.3 million cubic meters respectively, compared to the same period of the last year. The volumes of natural gas consumption by residential sector (population) were increased by 9.2%, making 420.8 million cubic meters.
During the stated period the volumes of natural gas consumption by CNG refueling stations were decreased by 20,8% and by 6.3% — by other consumers, making 217 and 148.1 million cubic meters, respectively.
