Comprehensive Diagnostics of Approximately 1,146 km of Underground Pipelines in Gas Transmission and Distribution Systems Scheduled for This Year

A key aspect of the operation and maintenance of gas transmission and distribution infrastructure is the comprehensive diagnostics of underground pipelines, gas distribution stations (GDS), and other engineering nodes of the gas supply system.

In compliance with the approved schedules, diagnostic activities are carried out by both branch of the Engineering Center — the Diagnostic Survey Service, and by designated personnel of the Gasification and Gas Supply Branches (GGBs) of Gazprom Armenia CJSC.

This year, as part of the approved work plans, comprehensive diagnostics and inspections are scheduled for approximately 253 km of underground pipelines within the gas transmission system, over 893 km of underground steel pipelines within the gas distribution network, as well as for technical devices and process equipment at 15 gas distribution stations.

The responsibilities of the Diagnostic Survey Service also embrace field studies (engineering and geophysical surveys) conduction for the design of electrochemical protection systems, as well as training GGB personnel involved in diagnostic operations.
