Mr. A.R. Akopyan: Amid Daily Peak Consumption in February, the Gas Supply System Operated Without Disruptions

March 13, 2025 17:00Mr. A. R. Hakobyan, Chairman of the Management Committee-General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia, held a working meeting to review the results of the operational and economic performance of the Gasification and Gas Supply Branches (GGBs) for February of the current year, as well as a number of other issues related to GGBs’ activities.

It was noted that during the heating season, February saw peak levels of natural gas consumption due to low temperatures. According to operational data, the average daily consumption during this period amounted to 14 million cubic meters.

The Chairman of the Management Committee-General Director of CJSC Gazprom Armenia emphasized that, despite daily consumption peaks, the gas supply system operated without disruption-thanks to the coordinated, round-the-clock efforts of GGB personnel.

During the mentioned period, a minimal number of emergency situations were recorded. In all cases, emergency recovery operations were completed in the shortest possible time in order to minimize inconvenience to consumers during the cold weather.

The meeting also highlighted the high collection rates for payments for natural gas delivered to consumers during the reporting period, as well as for maintenance services of gas consumption systems.
