Mr. Ashot Hakobyan: Ensuring reliable and safe operation of the gas distribution system remains a priority
Mr. Ashot Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of Gazprom Armenia held an external meeting at the Yerevan Gasification and Gas Supply Branch. The meeting was attended by the Deputies of the General Director, Heads of a number of Structural subdivision, Directors of Engineering Center Branch and AEG Service LLC.During the meeting, the Chairman mentioned that this was a final meeting of this year and that working discussions in this format were held in all Gasification and Gas supply Branches.
«We are summarizing the results of series of external meetings and it must be said that these meetings are very effective, because we get to know the urgent issues on the spot, make decisions as a result of subject discussions and make plans for what to do next. The issues raised during the meetings are almost the same, which need to be coordinated and possible solutions provided with a clear timetable. I attach importance to the effectiveness of these discussions from the point of view of work planning and we will try to make them continuous, according to the directions,„- said Mr. Ashot Hakobyan, the Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of Gazprom Armenia.
During the meeting, the main indicators related to the production activity of the Branch were presented and number of issues related to the work of the Branch were discussed.
At present, the Yerevan GGB serves about 2,431 km of underground and above ground gas pipelines and 6,970 gas regulation stations.
During the years 2021–23 and within the framework of the capital repair plan of Gazprom Armenia CJSC the GGB carried out the replacement of emergency gas pipelines with a total length of about 16 km. The number of resident gas consumers exceeds 308,400. 35 Cabinet type Gas Regulating Stations were replaced, the service life of which exceeded 20 years.
Separate attention was paid to the process of gasification of newly constructed apartment buildings in the service area of the Yerevan GGB. It was noted that under the program «On approving the plan to provide Yerevan city with additional new gas supply capacities and the implementation schedule for the construction of gas distribution hubs» approved by the relevant decision of the RA government, it is planned to build 4 new gas pressure stations and main gas transmission pipelines in a phased manner. It was emphasized that as a result of the cooperation among Gazprom Armenia CJSC, builders, community and state bodies, the mentioned works are being carried out according to the scheduled time frames.
Summarizing the results of the meeting, A. Hakobyan mentioned that the Yerevan GGB recorded high results.
«Taking into account the relatively large volumes of the Branch's work, the priority task remains ensuring a high level of reliability and safety of the gas distribution system. I attach special importance to the joint work with AEG Service LLC in order to achieve optimal results in terms of ensuring safe gas supply,» said the Chairman of the Management Committee — General Director of Gazprom Armenia.
After the consultation, Mr. A. Hakobyan examined the territory of the Yerevan GGB, were acquainted with the work of the «One Window» service center and also visited the building of the emergency dispatching service 1–04.
