Gazprom Armenia continues to support compatriots displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh
Gazprom Armenia CJSC continues to provide support to our compatriots displaced from Artsakh within the framework of its social policy. Since November last year, about 40 Artsakh families have been living in the «Karin» Rest house, which is on the balance sheet of the Company.
At present, more than 100 people, including children, live here. All the necessary communal and living conditions have been created for them: the rooms are provided with Internet connection, cable TV is available, recreation areas for adults and entertainment for children are organized. There is a canteen in the Rest house, where three meals a day are provided.
As part of the program aimed at supporting compatriots displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, Gazprom Armenia also provides free education for four children at the school of the Educational — Sport Complex. Two of them are in the grade 5 and two more are in high school.
At the initiative of Gazprom Armenia, the issues of employment of former employees of Artsakhgaz CJSC have been resolved. Currently, more than 54 specialists from «Artsakhgas» work in the branches of the Company.
Last year, Gazprom Armenia initiated a program aimed at supporting compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh, which was implemented in two stages.
As part of the first stage, 600 families received compensation for the cost of rent housing and utilities. Compensation was provided for a period of 6 months, primarily to large families and those with many children.
Another 1300 Artsakh families, who applied for support, received one-time financial assistance in the amount of 100,000 AMD per family from the Company.
