Gas distribution networks in Tumanyan area of Lori region fully restored
Lori Gasification and Gas Supply Branch (GGB) of Gazprom Armenia CJSC has fully restored the gas pipelines of the gas distribution network, which were damaged because of the natural disaster caused by the floods of May 26.
Medium and low-pressure gas pipelines were damaged in Alaverdi, Akhtala towns and Haghpat, Karkop and Negots villages in the service area of the Tumanyan Territorial Section (TS) of the Lori GGB.
According to the Deputy Head of the Tumanyan TS Artur Israyelyan — the emergency restoration work began on May 27, and in total about 5,000m of gas pipelines were restored.
More than 85 people from all Territorial Sections of the Lori GGB participated in the mentioned work, and 15 units of necessary construction equipment were delivered to the sites in the shortest possible time.
Immediately after the disaster, the administrative staff working group of Gazprom Armenia CJSC visited the areas affected by the floods, assessed the damage caused to the gas distribution networks on site, after which the necessary materials for emergency restoration work were promptly provided to the Tumanyan TS: pipes, shut-off valves, paint materials, etc.
«It has taken about 20 days for emergency restoration work in the Tumanyan region; all the personnel of our territorial section have participated in them. While emergency groups were restoring damaged gas pipelines, our other specialists supported the material handling, transportation, and other works. We have worked almost around the clock to restore gas supply as soon as possible, since more than 3,000 resident gas consumers in our region were deprived of gas in our region,» Artur Israelyan notes.
