A Quality Management System has been introduced in the natural gas testing laboratory in accordance with the requirements of the international standard
The quality characteristics of natural gas supplied to Armenia comply with the current interstate standard GOST 5542–2014, according to which the lowest calorific value of natural gas cannot be lower than 7600 Kcal/cub. m.Physicochemical parameters and density of natural gas are determined by CJSC National Body for Standardization and Metrology by means of measurements in the accredited Testing Laboratory for Environmental Physicochemical Measurements of the Engineering Center Branch of CJSC Gazprom Armenia.
The accredited natural gas Testing Laboratory is the only one in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Relevant measurements are carried out daily in the laboratory to determine the lower calorific value, composition and density of natural gas.
Every ten days, the official website of Gazprom Armenia publishes information on the lowest calorific value of natural gas supplied to consumers by region. The site also contains summary information by ten day and by month.
A Quality Management System compliant with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 has been introduced and operated in the laboratory for testing environmental physicochemical measurements, which guarantees that the laboratory has competence and can provide reliable and trustworthy results. Compliance with the requirements of this standard also implies the implementation of activities that meet the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001.
In order to ensure reliable, trustworthy and objective results, the competence of the testing laboratory staff, samples, equipment, facilities, environmental conditions, as well as the compliance of the sampling process with international requirements and relevant standardized methodologies are monitored.
Not only the compliance of the testing laboratory with these requirements is monitored, but also annual control is carried out at three levels: internal audit of CJSC Gazprom Armenia, PJSC internal audit of Gazprom and control of the National Accreditation Body. Elimination of non-conformities recorded during the audit contributes to the continuous improvement of the management system and laboratory activities.
