Gazprom Armenia carried out works planned within the framework of the production programs for the current year
Within the framework of the Investment program of CJSC Gazprom Armenia for 2023–2027 (including the Major Repair Plan), agreed upon with the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, comprehensive work and a number of activities were carried out at the facilities of the gas transmission and gas distribution systems.
In the current year, according to the Major Repair Plan, capital repairing of the insulating coating with replacement of rejected pipes on the Goris-Nakhijevan 700 mm and Ghazakh-Yerevan (line II) 1000 mm main gas transmission pipeline were planned and completely implemented. The total length of the repaired sections of gas transmission pipelines makes about 17 km. In addition, according to the schedule of works, major repair of linear valves and valve units of the main gas transmission pipelines was carried out with the replacement of 10 shut-off valves and installation of remote control systems on two valve units.
Large-scale work was also carried out at other facilities of the gas transportation system, including a major repair of the Gyumri-2 and Kajaran gas distribution stations, as well as infrastructure and technological facilities of the Abovyan UGSS. Relevant work is being carried out to create the required minimum volume of operational reserve for underground gas storage.
Comprehensive work was carried out at the facilities of the gas distribution system, including major repair of medium and low pressure underground and above-ground gas pipelines throughout the territory of Armenia. The total length of the repaired sections of gas pipelines is about 94 km. Within the framework of the Major Repair Plan, major repairs (with replacement) of 110 Cabinet type Gas Regulatory Units were also carried out — to ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply to gas consumers.
Thus, taking into account the performed works, reliable and safe operation of gas transmssion and gas distribution system facilities will ensure uninterrupted gas supply to consumers in 2023/2024 in the autumn-winter period of 2023/2024.
