Enlarged Shnogh community in Lori region of Armenia gasificated

Karkop, Tegut and Shnogh settlements in the enlarged Shnogh community have been gasificated. According to the official website of Lori regional administration the settlements have not been gasificated even in the Soviet years.

A solemn event took place on March 4 dedicated to the commemoration of the natural gas flow to settlements. The event was attended by the Head of the Lori regional administration, representatives of the Lori gasification and gas supply branch (GGB) of CJSC Gazprom Armenia, the Head of the enlarged Shnogh community.

Head of regional administration Aram Khachatryan congratulated the residents and expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the management of the Lori GGB and the Head of the Shnogh community for implementing this important program.

According to the Head of the Lori regional administration, the program has both important social and environmental significance.

“Gasification of settlements will not only enable residents to solve their domestic problems in a more civilized way but will also prevent the region from deforestation,” Aram Khachatryan noted.

Gasification of the enlarged Shnogh community was carried out within the framework of the subvention program with joint state-community investments. As a result, all the households in Tegut, Karkop and Shnogh administrative regions were able to use natural gas. About 1400 people became beneficiaries of the program.
